Jihyo (Korean: 지효) is a Korean singer and dancer under JYP Entertainment. She is a member of TWICE, and debuted with them in their first mini album The Story Begins.
Career[]
2015-2016: Debut with TWICE[]
In 2015, Jihyo competed on JYP's survival show, SIXTEEN. In the final episode, she ranked in the top 7, and debuted with girl group TWICE on October 20, 2015. The next year on July 12, 2016 Jihyo was also confirmed to appear on "The Return of Superman" along with Sana and Nayeon of her group.[1][2][3] A few months later, she also starred in teasers along with APink's Eunji and Ben for SBS's music show "Inkigayo"'s special project. According to the music show, it would air on November 6.[4] Jihyo would also collaborate for 2016 KBS Song Festival as a part of their '97 line.[5][6]
Personal Life[]
On August 4, 2019 Dispatch confirmed that Kang Daniel and Jihyo were dating. The two had been reportedly dating for a while, and were seen on a date 3 days earlier in Seoul.[7][8] The next day on August 5, JYP and Daniel's agency KONNECT confirmed the relationship.[9][10] Unfortunately a year after dating, the couple broke up due to busy schedules.[11]
